Central Data's scsiTerminal Server/ST-1R+ gives users high-performanceserial and parallel expansion for a SPARCstation(TM) without consumingany SBus slots. By simply plugging into the system's SCSI port, ST-1+permits the addition of terminals, modems, printers, and other serial andparallel devices. Since the serial ports are local tty ports, there areno complex net- work configurations to deal with. ST-1R+ features noSBus slot requirement, because it has a SCSI bus as interface to the hostcomputer; two asynchronous serial ports that support baud rates of up to115K baud; a DMA-driven parallel port; easy installation and maintenance;offloaded CPU overhead; and drivers for HP-UX, AIX, OSF/1 and IRIX.
